Overview

You may setup Office 365 email on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

Issue

Prerequisite: Ensure that you have DUO Mobile setup on your device if you will be doing this while not connected to the HSM Network. 

  1. On your iOS device, open the App Store and search for the Microsoft Outlook application. The icon should look like this. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Select the Microsoft Outlook app by tapping it. 
  3. Tap the "Get" button. This will begin the installation, and you will see a progress circle as the app installs. 
  4. Once the app is installed, tap the "Open" button, OR find and tap the icon that is now available on your home screen. 
  5. You will be prompted to "Add Account." Tap "Add Account" to proceed. 
  6. Enter your email address.
    • Tap the "Add Account" button once you have completed the previous step.
    • If you are asked if you would like to add another account, tap the "Maybe Later" option. 
  7. If this is your first time setting up Outlook on your device, it will likely also ask you for your password. This is the same password you would use to sign into your computer. Enter this password and tap the enter button on your on screen keyboard to proceed.
  8. At this point in the setup, you will be presented with the a DUO push in your DUO Mobile app.
  9. Switch to your DUO Mobile app and tap "Approve" to continue (as long as it is you trying to sign in). 
  10. Once you have successfully accepted the DUO push, reopen the Outlook app. You will be taken to your Inbox where you can configure the Outlook app. 
  11. If you wish to get notifications related to the Outlook app, you can Enable the notifications in the on screen pop up once you are signed in. 

Troubleshooting

If you continue to have issues setting up your email please make sure that you are utilizing the Microsoft Outlook application first. It will have the following icon. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)It will NOT have the following icon.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
